What is this?
Official camp hours - 9 AM to 4 PM.
Doors open at 8:30 AM and close at 4:10 PM. Students picked up after 4:10 PM must pay a $25 fee (no deposit required).
Students must pack their snacks and lunch, except Friday when we provide pizza. We do provide fruit for snacks in the morning, popsicles in the afternoon and filtered water throughout the day.
Typical camp day:
8:30 - 9:30 AM - Arrival
9:30 - 10:15 AM - Class 1
Break
10:45 - 11:30 - Class 2
Break
Lunch/Outside Time/Chess Movies
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Officially USCF Rated and Unrated tournaments/Special events/Bughouse/Memory Tournaments/Fun events
NCC Summer Camps typically have three levels of learning groups (Beginners, Intermediate and Tournament Players). We have three coaches and four high school aged volunteers at each camp.
Parents usually just drop students off, but are welcome to observe and stay as well.
