It’s your move! Are you interested in joining
the Nashville Collegiate Prep Chess Club?!
We will meet Wednesdays after-school
3:15 - 4:15 PM Sept. 7, 2022 through May 3, 2023
Who can join the club?
- 3rd through 6th Grade
- Beginners and Intermediate Players
What will we learn?
- All the basics and rules to play the game
- Advanced tricks and strategies to win
- Tournament readiness and being part of a team
Why chess?
Chess is fun and competitive but it also offers lasting
educational benefits such as enhanced problem solving
and logical reasoning skills, increased attention span,
improved patience and self-esteem, and there is direct
correlation between chess and increase math and reading
standardized test scores. It’s so much more than just a game!
How to join?
There is no cost to the students. Open to the first 20 students registered 3rd-5th
grade. Register online at www.nashvillechess.org Calendar Event for September 7,
2022 NCP Chess Club. One-year ChessKid Gold and NCC Memberships included.
