Harpeth Valley Chess Club will meet each and every Monday that school is in session except for the following days:
09-02-2019 for Labor Day
10-07-2019 for Fall Break
11-11-2019 for Veteran's Day
01-20-2019 for MLK Jr. Day
02-17-2019 for President's Day
03-16-2019 for Spring Break
The club will kick off on Monday, August 26th from 3:05 - 4:05. The first semester will conclude on 12-16-2019. We will resume in the second semester on 01-13-2020.
The final club of the year will be on Monday, May 4th. The following Thursday is the conclusion of the chess season with the 2020 National Elementary Championship at Opryland Hotel beginning on Thusrdays, May 7th.
ALL HVES CHESS CLUB REGISTRATION WILL BE HANDLED BY THE NASHVILLE CHESS CENTER. YOU MAY REGISTER ONLINE AT THIS PAGE, OR YOU MAY DROP A CASH OR CHECK BY THE NASHVILLE CHESS CENTER (we have a locked mailed on the front porch).
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY CHESS CLUB PAYMENTS OR REGISTRATION FORMS AT SCHOOL! THE HVES OFFICE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM.
Your one-time payment covers the entire school year.
This club is open to the first 24 students in 3rd and 4th grader to register. If we do not fill all the spots with 3rd/4th graders, siblings get the first chance at joining that are younger.
