2024-25 Rosebank Elementary School After-School Chess Club!
***This registration page is only for the current 1st - 5th grader students at Rosebank Elementary School in Nashville, TN. This is part of the MNPS System. Please do not register if your child does not attend this school.***
When:
Fridays After School 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM in the Library.
Specific Dates:
September 6, 13, 20, 27
(NO CHESS OCT. 4 OR 11 - FALL BREAK)
October 18
(NO CHESS OCT. 25 - PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES)
November 1, 8, 15, 22
December 6, 13 (last day). 11-weeks total.
Extras:
Each student in the club will receive a ChessKID.com Gold Membership ($49 per year value) to help supplement the lessons and coaching from the chess club.
Outside Tournaments:
We will work to get our Rosebank Chess Team out to events! Here are some dates to keep in mind:
September 21st - Lipscomb Academy K-12 City Championship Qualifier
(Great for all grades, ages and experience levels for K-12 kids!)
October 12th - Chess-in-the-Park for National Chess Day! (2nd City Qualifier for Kids)
(Fun event outside at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Lawn on Belmont.)
December 7th - Ensworth K-12 City Championship Qualiifer (final qualifier for K-12 kids)
